Comprehensive Coverage Information
(Connecticut Motorcycle Insurance)
Covers damage caused to the insured's motorcycle (your motorcycle) from risks such as theft, fire, falling objects, earthquake, flood, missiles, explosion, riot and civil unrest.
Comprehensive motorcycle insurance coverage will pay up to the fair market value of your motorcycle (less your motorcycle insurance deductible). The deductible is the amount you choose to pay upfront (if any) before the motorcycle insurance policy pays. The higher the deductible chosen the lower the comprehensive coverage cost of the motorcycle insurance policy. It's not required in any state to carry comprehensive coverage, but will be required in most cases for your motorcycle to be financed.
